The Challenges

The beverage distributor faced two primary challenges:

  • High Energy Costs: The company’s extensive operations resulted in substantial energy bills, impacting their operational expenses and profitability.
  • Environmental Concerns: Heavy reliance on diesel generators for power generation was contributing to a high carbon footprint, conflicting with the company’s sustainability goals and corporate social responsibility commitments.

These challenges necessitated a solution that could simultaneously address cost reduction and environmental impact.

Energeia’s Solution: Energas Dual Fuel Conversion

To address these challenges, Energeia implemented its Energas Dual Fuel Conversion technology for:

  • Two 1010 kVA Diesel Generators
  • Two 1500 kVA Diesel Generators
  • One 2000 kVA Diesel Generator

Energas Implementation

Energeia converted these 5 diesel generators to dual fuel operation, allowing them to run on a combination of diesel and natural gas. This conversion aimed to:

  • Reduce diesel consumption
  • Lower fuel costs
  • Decrease the company’s carbon footprint, aligning with their sustainability objectives

Results

The conversion of 5 generators to Energeia’s Dual Fuel Kit solution yielded significant benefits. Annually, the company saved 126.36 KL of diesel, resulting in fuel cost savings of ₹31.59 Lakh. This reduction in diesel consumption is equivalent to preserving 11,808 trees, substantially decreasing the company’s carbon footprint.
